With over 15 years of experience, Seth Purdom brings a deep understanding of animal behavior to every dog he trains. His journey began on his family’s farm, where he first learned the importance of timing, patience, and communication while training horses alongside his stepdad, a professional horse trainer. That early foundation in working with large, sensitive animals naturally transitioned into his work with dogs, shaping his calm, confident approach. Today, Seth specializes in assisting dogs of all temperaments—especially those with behavioral challenges—through balanced, effective training that yields real results.

At the conclusion of the program, you’ll engage in an extensive go-home session, followed by four private lessons and unlimited lifetime support from our dog behavior specialist, providing you with the tools and guidance necessary to maintain and expand your dog’s training for life.

Agility Board & Train - 2 Weeks

The first months of your puppy’s life are crucial for shaping good behavior, building confidence, and developing social skills. That’s why we created the Puppy Development Bundle — a program designed specifically for pups under 4 months old, utilizing a balanced training approach.

This package includes four private in-person classes at our Houston facility, each lasting 45–60 minutes, where our dog behavior specialist will guide you and your puppy through the foundations of professional dog training. You’ll learn how to teach essential skills like sit, down, stay, and recall while also focusing on proper leash manners, crate training, and building confidence in new environments.

Beyond obedience, our trainers also prioritize early socialization and problem prevention — addressing common puppy challenges like nipping, jumping, and housebreaking before they become long-term habits. With personalized instruction and hands-on practice, you’ll leave each class with clear steps to continue your pup’s training at home.

At Purdom Dog Academy, we provide a balanced training approach that makes dog training stress-free and convenient with our professional Transportation Service, available for all Board & Train and Boarding clients. Our team of dog behavior specialists will safely pick up your dog from your home and return them once their professional dog training program is complete.

To ensure training success, we include the very first lesson in your home — demonstrating exactly how to maintain and transfer your dog’s new skills into their real-life environment.
